Set amidst lush Devon countryside, only 7 miles from Instow's sandy beach and the galleries and bustle of Appledore, just over the River Torridge, these two finely converted barns are perfectly located for visitors to enjoy the many local attractions. Westward Ho!'s vast sandy beach and Bideford, for boat trips to Lundy Island and good shopping in Atlantic Village, are both close by, whilst further along the coast to the south are pretty Clovelly village, whose only transport is by donkey and sledge, and Bude, whose extensive sands and rolling waves make it a surfers' paradise. To the north are some of the country's finest beaches, Saunton Sands, Croyde Bay, Putsborough and Woolacombe, and lovely days out can be enjoyed in Exmoor National Park. Pub serving food 1½ miles, shops in Torrington, 7 miles.

Beach lovers will also enjoy a cottage holiday here in North Devon. Resorts like Woolacombe and Saunton offer long stretches of sandy beach that are ideal for surfing and sailboarding. Clovelly is a real beauty spot, and very picturesque, while Appledore is a picture-perfect fishing village. Photographers take note. Ilfracombe is a more traditional seaside resort, but is not overly-commercialised, while the twin towns of Lynton and Lynmouth have an atmosphere all their own.
